The Nashville Chamber of Commerce passed a motion to organize a Centennial Celebration to take place in 1969. In preparation, a history book was created containing various pieces of the history of Nashville. Nashville celebrated 150 years as a village on August 2-4, 2019. This event is was known as the Sesquicentennial Celebration.
Nashville also has a historical society. The society strives is to teach, preserve, protect, and create awareness of the history of Nashville.

The library offers access to its Local History Room each month.This room features old photos, maps, documents, and more about the Village of Nashville and surrounding area. This room is generally accessible 2-3 times a month, except for the winter months.
