The Nashville Chamber of Commerce passed a motion to organize a Centennial Celebration to take place in 1969. In preparation, a history book was created containing various pieces of the history of Nashville.

Nashville will be celebrating 150 years as a village on August 2-4, 2019.  This event is also known as the sesquicentennial celebration. To find out more information about the event, visit the Nashville Sesquicentennial Facebook page, or email Nashville150Years@gmail.com.

Nashville also has a newly founded historical society. While the group is focused on the upcoming sesquicentennial celebration, the society also strives is to teach, preserve, protect, and create awareness of the history of Nashville.
